Sources and hazards of various common indoor pollution

Release time:2021-10-21

1、 Main sources of indoor air pollution
1. Chemical pollution: it mainly comes from indoor decoration materials, such as artificial board, various paints, coatings, adhesives, etc. formaldehyde, benzene and total volatile matter (TVOC) released by these materials are the main pollutants.
2. Biological pollution: mainly from damp and moldy walls and floors in the room.
2、 What are the main indoor gases harmful to human body?
1. Formaldehyde: a recognized carcinogen in the world. Formaldehyde can stimulate people's eyes and respiratory system. If you live in an environment with excessive formaldehyde for a long time, inhalation of excessive formaldehyde will cause abnormal immune function, liver and lung injury, affect the normal work of the central nervous system, and cause fetal malformation and even death. National indoor air quality standard It is specified that the indoor formaldehyde content shall not exceed 0.10mg/m3.
2. Benzene: benzene mainly comes from various adhesives, paints, coatings and other decorative materials. Inhalation of high concentration of benzene in a short time will paralyze the central system, cause dizziness, nausea, fatigue and other symptoms, and in severe cases, coma and respiratory failure and death. In addition, benzene may also cause leukemia. National indoor air quality standard It is stipulated that the content of benzene in the room shall not exceed 0.11mg/m3.
3. Ammonia: ammonia is a colorless gas with strong pungent smell. It is very soluble in water and often adsorbed on human skin and eye conjunctiva, resulting in irritating inflammation. Inhalation of a large amount of ammonia will lead to sore throat, chest tightness, headache, nausea, tears and other symptoms. The national indoor air quality standard stipulates that the content of indoor ammonia shall not exceed 0.20mg/m3.
4. Total volatile matter (TVOC): this kind of combined pollution poison gas includes a lot of contents. All volatile organic compounds are called TVOC. This kind of pollution poison gas is relatively common, and most decoration materials basically contain TVOC volatile substances.
